As a Senior Sales Engineer at Understory, you will play a pivotal role in driving the sales of complex financial insurance products, including group captives and risk transfer programs. Your expertise will help our clients navigate the intricacies of risk management and their property and casualty insurance, ensuring they receive the most effective and comprehensive coverage possible.
Your main role responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating closely with brokers and producers to tailor insurance solutions that precisely meet the needs of their clients.
- Engaging directly with clients to assess their risk profiles and recommend appropriate insurance solutions.
- Explaining complex insurance structures such as group captives and risk transfer mechanisms in a clear and comprehensible manner.
- Preparing and delivering persuasive presentations and detailed reports that communicate clearly and precisely, leveraging documentation expertise to inform decision-making.
- Participating in negotiations and contract discussions to ensure terms are favorable and in line with client expectations.
- Assist clients in analyzing information and operational strategies to utilize Understory’s advanced weather warnings for efficient evacuation and risk mitigation.
- Staying abreast of market trends and regulatory changes that impact property insurance and related financial products.
- Providing feedback from clients to internal teams to aid in product development and enhancement.
- Have at least 3 years of experience in sales, specifically within the insurance industry, focusing on complex financial products.
- Possess a deep understanding of property insurance, group captives, and risk transfer strategies.
- Are skilled in preparing and delivering persuasive presentations and detailed reports.
- Demonstrate strong analytical skills and the ability to solve problems creatively.
- Have excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Are adept at building and maintaining professional relationships with clients, brokers, and colleagues alike.
Compensation includes:
